Brad Williamson - Executive Director
Mr. Williamson, as he prefers to be called, grew up in a sprawling 1940's ranch style home on a modest hill overlooking the "Gateway to the Rockies", Loveland, CO. Mr. Williamson's first acquaintance with community television was in 1982 with the advent of KBDI, Broomfield, CO, and the groundbreaking music video show, "Teletunes", and the repeated airing of videos by The Plasmatic's, Grace Jones, and Missing Persons. Mr. Williamson gave nary a thought to community television until some four years later when his father forced him to watch "The MacLaughlin Group", on Rocky Mountain PBS, for his first foray into political science. He has since seen 624 episodes straight and counting, and owns the world's largest collection of Eleanor Clift memorabilia! Mr. Williamson sought a degree in higher learning throughout the Front Range of Colorado before earning a Bachelor of Art, Journalism, from Colorado State University. He had hoped to become an intrepid reporter for sundry underground, revoultionary, counter-revoultionary and perhaps his grandparents assisted-living facility's newsletters, or 'zines, until he realized that would require an extraordinary amount of pluck, a thing he lacked utterly (plus, assisted-living facilities kinda smell). So naturally Mr. Williamson rediscovered his youthful passion for skiing. Snow skiing. Alpine skiing. You will never see Mr. Williamson on ski blades, tele's, a monoski or a snowboard. Because that's not skiing. Mr Williamson has resided primarily in the northern part of Summit County for twelve years and has been with SCTV since 2004. Mr. Williamson's hobbies include watching other local channels for typo's and editing mistakes, hurting himself while skiing, biking and/or taking a shower, recycling, conducting inner dialouge about "where he's at", perusing tattoo magazines, contemplating the continued, and surprising, existence of the boreal toad, being both a coffee and a literature snob, and using a singularly copious amount of ginger in his juices...
